Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation in collaboration with 13JARA Collective presented a projection titled - 'Do you see the clouds wrapping the sky?' that shared emerging South Asian artists' works around the concepts of identity at The Night of the Year, Les Rencontres d'Arles on July 9.
What is meant by having an 'identity'? Our names, faces, places, the color of skin? Our kin perhaps, and their histories and memories. It could be our mother tongue, gender orientation, or the preference of our palates. Perhaps it is best characterized as an enigma - an amalgamation of diverse elements.
