11 JULY — AUGUST 29 2018
Young festival-goers can have a fun, educational time while their parents visit exhibitions.
Every day, a mediator-photographer explores different themes in workshops where children can learn about staging, narration, outside-the-frame techniques, point of view, playing with scale, etc.; develop their critical thinking skills; and stimulate their imagination.
All the workshops are held in French.
In relation with the exhibition Sidelines by Robert Frank
From images to words to images, this shooting workshop takes the form of a famous Surrealist game combining chance and creativity to create poetic-photographic sentences.
APPRENTICE EXHIBITION CURATOR
In relation with the exhibition Being Human by William Wegman
Based on photographs in the exhibition, be a curator for a day. What order, arrangement, substance and route do you want your show to have? What story do you want to tell with the images?
Based on photographs from the game Pause Photo Prose and the online platform L’Atelier des photographes
Based on a quote by a photographer and auteur photographs, this workshop asks participants to produce images in a fun way (staging, framing, shooting, etc.).
In relation with the exhibitions 1968, What a Story! and Intimate Revolts by Aurore Valade
Participants in this shooting workshop will put personal demands relating to the social issues of their choice into words and pictures.
In relation with the exhibition 1968, What a Story!
How are pictures chosen to illustrate magazine covers or articles? Young festival-goers become iconographers, discover various press professions and reflect on the importance of the place of images and text on a visual medium.
