David Horvitz

Born in 1982 in Los Angeles. Lives and works in Brooklyn.

David Horvitz studied photography and history and went on to earn an MFA from the Milton Avery School of Fine Art at Bard College in New York. Recent projects and exhibitions include Free at the New Museum, New York; Carry On, a solo exhibition at Galerie West in Holland; Intimate Bureaucracies: Art and the Mail at Art Exchange at the University of Essex; As Yet Untitled: Artists and Writers in Collaboration at SF Camerawork in San Francisco; and No Soul For Sale with Rhizome at Tate Modern. He has published books with Mark Batty Publisher and 2nd Cannons, as well as with a number of small independent publishers. Recent titles include Everything That Can Happen in a Day, published by Mark Batty Publisher, and Rarely Seen Bas Jan Ader Film, a flip-book published by 2nd Cannons. Recent self-publications include Public Access: A Wikipedia Reader (a collaboration with Mylinh Nguyen) and Drugstore Beetle (Sitodrepa Paniceum).
