Omar Victor Diop

Born 1980, Dakar, Senegal.
Omar Victor Diop’s career was
all mapped out: after graduating from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, he worked
for a series of multinational businesses in Africa. But the success of his  rst artistic
projects inspired him to abandon corporate communications and dedicate himself to photography. He used his camera to capture
the lifestyle and diversity of modern African societies. Heir to the tradition of portraiture developed by Mama Casset and Seydou Keïta, he continued his research into both photography and design. Omar Victor Diop seeks to open a new widow upon his Africa: an Africa that both dreams and takes action, with optimism and ambition.
