Born 1934. Lives and works in La Rochelle, France.
In the 1970s, Nicole Metayer created a series of “photocopy” self-portraits by pressing her face against the glass of the copy machine. These images were shown in 1976 at the Galerie Contrejour in Paris. In 1978, she was among the artists included in the first book dedicated to “Copy Art,” and was among the photographers chosen for the publication Photographie actuelle en France.
