A self-taught photographer, Mohamed Camara is known for his series Chambres maliennes, a work that presents the private sphere of Bamako in an ambience of veils. His work has been shown at the Festival de photographie de Bamako, Paris Photo, Tate Britain, and the lnternational Center of Photography in New York. His works are both visual and literary, often accompanied by long poetic titles.
