Juan Peláez obtained Fine Arts degree from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Bogotá. He is a visual artist with experience in production, management and curatorship. Selected solo exhibitions include: El primer Starbucks de Colombia (The First Starbucks of Colombia), Lugar a Dudas, Cali; 75000 Deseos, Museo Quinta de Bolívar, Bogotá; and Inversión Social (Social Investment), Guay, Bogotá. Selected group exhibitions include: the 6th and 7th Cali Performance Festival; Artecámara Pavilion, ArtBo, Bogotá. He is currently director and member of the curatorial committee of M I A M I , an independent artist-run space in Bogotá. He lives and works in Bogotá.
