Constance Nouvel studies reality’s strata, splits them apart and recomposes them. She takes hold of different types of space: interiors, settings, landscapes. Frame, format, and content are taken up as characteristic elements of the medium to be rethought in an experimental language. With her installations, she questions reality at different levels. Her work explores the conceptual, plas-tic, and imaginary dimensions of photography. Nouvel has shown her work at the Théâtre de Vanves for the Mois de La Photo (2017), at the Centre d’Art et Photographie in Lectoure, and at the Centre Photographique d’Île-de-France (2014). Her most recent solo exhibition, Premier ra-diant, was shown at the In Situ-Fabienne Leclerc gallery in 2016.
