Isadora Romero

Born 1987 in Quito, Ecuador.
Lives and works in Quito, Ecuador.
 
Isadora Romero is an Ecuadorian freelance visual storyteller based in Quito. Her work focuses on gender, and environmental issues. Co-founder of Ruda Colectiva, a Latin American women photographers collective. Among her main recognitions, she is the winner of the Open Format global and regional award of World Press Photo 2022, winner of the Marilyn Stafford Award 2021, and of second place in environmental issues at Poy Latam 2021. Selected for the Magnum Foundation’s PSJ Fellowship 2021 and the WPP’s Joop Swart Masterclass 2020. She is also an educator and a member of Women Photograph, Foto Féminas, and Diversify Photo.
