Tuomo MANNINEN
Born in 1962 in Jyväskylä, Finland.
Lives and works in Helsinki went not on a trip.
Since starting the series “Me/We” in Kathmandu in 1995, Manninen has photographed groups in Riga, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Lisbon, Hamburg, Odense, Ho Chi Minh City, Tønder, Paris and Havana, continuing to Ramallah, Maputo, Istanbul and Berlin.
The “Nous/We”-series includes group portraits in Paris, inspired by descriptions and depictions of professions in 14th century Paris. The “Nous/We” was commissioned by the IPRN network.
