Adrien MISSIKA

Adrien Missika was born in 1981 in Paris. He lives and works in Geneva.
Having begun taking photographs in 2001 on a trip to Morocco, he quit his law studies in 2003 to devote himself to the discipline. He enrolled at the Ecole Cantonale de Lausanne, in Switzerland, and graduated from the photography department in 2007.He has shown his work at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris (“Enclaves d’Europe”, 2007), at Metro Square in Tokyo (“Koban”, 2007), at CosmoCaixa in Barcelona (“Climax Redux”, 2008) and at Fette’s Gallery in Los Angeles (“Le Flâneur”, 2007), as well as featuring in many shows in Lausanne and Geneva, particularly at the Blancpain Art Contemporain gallery. His first monographic exhibition, “Fabriques”, ran at the Centre Contemporain de Genève until 2009. In 2006, Adrien Missika co-founded the art exhibition space Galerie 1m3 in Lausanne, and is one of its programmers.
