The great fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh has died at the age of 74.

Arles was close to his heart since the 1960s and he was very faithful to the Rencontres.

At the invitation of Chistian Lacroix and François Hébel, in 2008 the festival held a major show at the Church of Preaching Friars devoted to his photographs of Beauduc Beach in Camargue.
The same year, Peter and Paolo Roversi treated the audience at the Ancient  Theatre to a memorable photographic duel .

The Rencontres d'Arles pays him homage and extends its warmest sympathy to his loved ones.
