Ten projects proposed by ten galleries have been shortlisted and will be on display at the next Rencontres d’Arles.

During opening week, a jury will bestow the New Discovery Award on an artist and his or her gallery, entailing an acquisition worth €15,000. The public will vote for the Public’s Choice Award, entailing an acquisition worth €5,000.

In 2018, The New Discovery Award winner was Paulien Oltheten, for La Défense, the venturing gaze, proposed by Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire (Paris, France) and the Public’s Choice Prize was awarded to Wiktoria Wojciechowska, for Sparks, proposed by Galerie Confluence (Nantes, France).
