Claudine Maugendre, a great "photography lady", photo editor at Express and co-founder and photo editor-in-chief at Actuel and Nova Mag magazines, passed away on March 1. A familiar face at the Rencontres d’Arles for over 30 years, from 2005 to 2014 she was the generous, enthusiastic art director of Night of the Year, the festive, popular, unmissable opening week event, always passionately promoting young photojournalists. The Rencontres d’Arles pays homage to Claudine and salutes her memory.
