Director of Initial LABO responsible for development and communication. Before joining Initial LABO, Helene Allain worked in the fields of design, culture and digital innovation for several years. She was the programmer and then director of Futur.e.s, a digital culture festival in the Paris region. The Initial LABO platform is at the service of photography and photographers.
From fine-art prints to very large-format exhibitions, the laboratory puts its high standards and artistic, creative, technical and industrial skills to work for photographers and in-house and off-site projects with leading institutions and photography festivals.
It works closely with the Planches Contact festival, Visa Pour l’Image, Festival Photo La Gacilly, Rencontres d’Arles, Prix Résidence pour la photographie de la Fondation des Treilles, L’œil Urbain, Photo Days, Les Rencontres du 10e in Paris, Réflexivités and the Fondation Carmignac.
Located near Paris in Boulogne Billancourt, Initial LABO brings together a gallery, a bookstore and a store directly connected with the activities of the photographic laboratory, where professionals and amateurs work with the printers every day.
