Between Landscape & Portrait, the color as a fragile link
04 July

Through this workshop, Laura Bonnefous will reveal to us her sensitive vision which links landscape and portrait through color. Followed by a first descriptive and technical module of the workshop, it will take us to the heart of the city to allow us to experience a session of shooting between portrait and landscape on the banks of the Rhône. Participants will also be able to equip themselves with a box and take part in the exercise alongside their course instructor. During this workshop, they will assist in the construction of images from shooting to final editing and will thus understand how to sensitively connect Man to the spaces around him.

LAURA BONNEFOUS
Through a visual image emphasizing the spaces she encounters and those she recreates, it is a certain poetry of reality that she offers us.
Inspired by the relationships that humans have with our contemporary landscape and captivated by the changes experienced by our society, she deciphers and studies our mythologies to offer a sensitive vision. With these elements from reality, she recreates her own spaces, more personal and more metaphorical. Both pictorial and sculptural, it is through a certain abstraction that his images engage in a new archeology of our contemporary codes.
It was at Beaux-Arts in Paris, at the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and at the École des Gobelins that she developed her practice between image and volume.
She holds exhibitions and residencies in France and internationally such as 104 in Paris, the Cité Internationale des Arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bangkok, the Onishi Studio in Japan, the Parcours Saint Germain, the Voies Off, the Mois de la Photo, the Niort International Photography Festival, the Palais Galliera, the Arezzo festival in Italy, FotoHaus in Arles, the Rencontres Photographiques du 10ème in Paris, the Promenades Photographiques de Vendôme and the Saint Brieuc Festival. In 2023 she presents Kilamba at Haute Photographie in Rotterdam & Amsterdam. In 2024 she participates in the Xposure Festival in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, presents a personal exhibition of her new project Souffle Aride in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman (supported by the French Embassy) and prepares an exhibition in Houston in June 2024 .
She was among the 30 Under 30 Womens Photographers in 2015 and won various prizes such as the Bourse du Talent, the Picto Prize, the Eyes on Talents prize and in 2023 the International Lens Culture Critics choice prize.
