Gilad Ratman
Born in 1975 in Israel. Lives and works in New York.
Gilad Ratman received his M.F.A. from Columbia University in 2009. Some of his recent solo shows were exhibited in the Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv (2010); the Haifa Museum for Contemporary Art (2009); Ferenbalm-Gurbrü Station Gallery, Karlsruhe (2008) and the Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv (2006). Gilad’s recent solo shows were exhibited in La Tolerie Center for Contemporary Art, Clermont Ferrand, France; the Herzliya Biennial, Israel; Michael Janssen Gallery, Berlin; Art in General, New York; Athens Biennial, Greece (all in 2009); Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Kulturhuset Stokholm, Sweden; Museum Beelden Aan Zee, The Hague; Stockholmsmässan, Sweden (all in 2008); Petach-Tikva Museum for Contemporary Art, Israel (2007); and Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art (2005). He received the following awards: the Fund for Video Art and Experimental Cinema (2008); the Isracard Prize for an Israeli Artist from the Tel Aviv Museum (2007); the Israeli Ministry of Culture Young Artist Prize (2006); and the Givon Prize of the Tel Aviv Museum (2005). Gilad Ratman is represented by the Braverman Gallery in Tel Aviv.
