Frédéric Nauczyciel’s images are nourished by American photography, dance, cinema, and painting. The images constructed with his protagonists reach beyond identity alone to free up an intimate part of reality. His productions have been supported by, among others, the Centre Pompidou, Festival d’Avignon, Théâtre National de Chaillot, Institut Supérieur d’Art de Besançon, and the Centre de Photographie de Lectoure. He has exhibited in France (Musée de la Chasse, Mac/Val, Rencontres d’Arles), Barcelona (Palau de la Virreina), and the United States (Washington, Baltimore, and New York).
