Melanie Bonajo
Born 1979, the Netherlands. Lives and works in New York, USA.
Melanie Bonajo works with photography, vidéo, performances and music. Her work has been exhibited and performed in international art institutions, such as De Appel Arts Centre (Amsterdam), Centre for Contemporary Art (Warsaw), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), MMCA (Seoul), and Capricious gallery (New York) and her films played in festivals such as IDFA and Berlinale. She writes for several art magazines and curates shows such as a QQC performance festival about pop music in visual arts in Paradiso (Amsterdam). She has published several books: Modern Life of the Soul, A Room With Everything, Spheres and Furniture Bondage. In 2013 she released an album, Inua, with her band ZaZaZoZo.
