In 1985, Alex Majoli joined Studio F45 in Ravenna and worked with Daniele Casadio. In the mid-1990s, he travelled to Latin America and returned with Requiem in Samba, an intimate journey into the heart of multicultural Brazilian society. In 2001, he became a member of Magnum and has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Georgia, as well as the Arab Spring. In 2004 in New York, he presented, in collaboration with Thomas Dworzak, Paolo Pellegrin, and Ilkka Uimonen, the installation Off Broadway. A huge success, the artwork was then exhibited in Brazil and Europe. He has recently completed and exhibited Libera Me, a highly personal artistic reflection on the human condition.
