Paolo Pellegrin
Paolo Pellegrin was born in 1964, Rome, Italy. He lives and works in Rome, Italy, and New York, United States.
A Magnum nominee in 2001, Paolo Pellegrin became a full member in 2005. He works under contract for Newsweek. He has received numerous awards, including ten World Press Photo Awards, the Leica Medal of Excellence Award, Olivier Rebbot Award, Hansel Meith Prize, and the Robert Capa Gold Medal. In 2006, he received the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography. Named Photographer of the Year by Pictures of the Year in 2012, he received the prestigious Dr. Eric Salomon Award in 2013. Paolo Pellegrin has published six books and his work was presented at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2008 and in 2012.
