Eleanor Antin is a conceptual artist from New York. She taught at the University of California, Irvine in the 1970s, and is now based in San Diego. Her work makes use of performance, installation, video art, and photography. Among the pioneers of ‘‘mail art,’’ taking the form of postal correspondence, her work questions and subverts traditional forms of representation.
