Juan Manuel Echavarría
Born 1947, Medellín, Colombia. Lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia.
Juan Manuel Echavarría has exhibited extensively, nationally and abroad, in solo and group exhibitions, screenings and film festivals at venues such as the Venice Biennale; Kwangju Biennial; Daros Latin America, Zurich; Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki; Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; Museo del Barrio, New York; Musée du Quai Branly and Cartier Foundation, Paris, among others. His solo exhibition, Mouths of Ash, was organized by the North Dakota Museum of Art in 2005 and traveled to the Weatherspoon Museum of Art and the Santa Fe Art Institute.
