Christian Milovanoff became a creative photographer in 1976 and a teacher at ENSP in Arles when the school was founded in 1982. His artistic search focuses on indoor spaces such as museums, supermarkets and offices. For the DATAR Photography Mission, he shot office, technological, administrative and institutional spaces. Void of human presence, his images show impersonal workplaces in an almost cinematographic chiaroscuro aesthetic. In 2015, he published Bureaux, a reexamination of images produced for DATAR.
