Pierre de Fenoyl
Born 1945, Caluire-et-Cuire, France. Died 1987.
Pierre de Fenoyl developed a passion for photography at a very early age. He was an archivist for the Magnum agency and director of the Fondation Nationale de la Photographie in Lyon before photographing in India, the United States and Egypt while at the same time working as a project manager at the Centre Georges-Pompidou in Paris. For DATAR, he was interested in the Southwest’s rural landscapes, traveling while studying the relationship between photography and time.
