Dominique Auerbacher
Born 1955, Strasbourg, France. Lives and works in France and Germany.
As part of the DATAR Mission, Dominique Auerbacher questions the human’s place in the cityscape and seeks to show the potential interchangeability of certain common places (train stations, parking lots, etc.) by mixing her shots of Lyon with others taken in various European metropolises. She has participated in many photography projects, including Quatre Saisons du Territoire de Belfort (1987), Linea di Confine (a 2004 Italian commission) and the Nord-Pas-de-Calais itinerary for the Observatoire National Photographique du Paysage.
