Dune Varela
Born 1976 Paris, France. Lives and works in Montreuil, France.
Franco-American Dune Varela studied law in Paris and film in New York before making several shorts and working on documentaries. Then, she turned to analog photography, especially landscapes. Her latest series take a sculptural approach to the image. Her photographs have been exhibited in the chapel of the convent in Morsiglia, Corsica as well as shows at the Museum of Hunting and Nature, Maison européenne de la photographie and Visconti gallery in Paris, and the André Villers photography museum in Mougins. She is the the winner of the 2014 Fotograficasa Award.
