Tshepiso Mazibuko

Born 1995 in Thokoza, South Africa.
Lives and works in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Tshepiso Mazibuko uses the medium of photography to add commentary about the political, society, landscape and history. She completed her studies in photography at the Market Photo Workshop in Johannesburg in 2016. She has shown at Ithuba Art Gallery, Johannesburg; Ghent photo festival, Belgium; les Rencontres d’Arles, France; LagosPhoto, Nigeria; the Turbine art fair, Johannesburg Art Gallery Iziko; Warren Editions and the Art Africa fair, Cape Town; the Addis Foto Fest, Ethiopia. She is the recipient of the Tierney fellowship 2017 and has been awarded the Prince Claus Fund Award for 2018. She became a member of Umhlabathi Collective in 2021.
