Born 1962, Berlin, Germany. Lives and works in Stuttgart, Germany.   Markus Hartmann comes from a family of publishers and printers. He is currently director of Hartmann Projects, a recently started company promoting artists and their work through exhibitions, books, publicity, and art market services. He was previously commissioning editor and publisher of photography and art books for Hatje Cantz Verlag, Germany.
