Magda STANOVA
Born in 1981. Lives and works in Slovakia.
I earned a bachelor's degree (2003) at the Department of Photography and New Media of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava with a diploma work titled "Me and Eiffel Tower". In 2005, after studying two years at the Fine Arts Department of Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Zürich, I recieved a paper that says that I am "Diplomierte Kunstlerin" (= a female artist with a diploma). In 2007, I almost didn't earned master's degree at photography department of AFAD in Bratislava. Currently, I study at the New Genres department at San Francisco Art Institute as a Fulbright grantee.
I took part in the exhibitions "Talent Latent" in Tarragona (Spain), "Jump into cold water" in Shedhalle Zürich (CH), "BOOM!" in Galllery Scala Mata in Venice (I), "I have a dream ... za plotom" (= beyond the fence) in the American Embassy Art Space in Bratislava (SK), "W cieniu fotografii" in Gallery ZPAF i S-ka in Krakow (PL) and other. My videos and animations were presented at various film festivals.
