Christodoulos Panayiotou
Born 1978, Limassol, Cyprus. Lives and works in Limassol, Cyprus, and Paris, France.
Christodoulos Panayiotou’s wide-ranging research focuses on the identification and uncovering of hidden narratives in the visual records of history and time. Solo exhibitions of his work have been held (amongst other) at the Venice Biennale, Cyprus Pavilion, Venice, Italy; Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden; CCA Kitakyushu, Japan; Museum of Contemporary Art, Leipzig, Germany; and Kunsthalle Zürich, Switzerland. He has participated in major international survey exhibitions, including the 8th Berlin Biennale; 7th Liverpool Biennial; and Documenta 13, Kassel. His work was also shown in a number of museum exhibitions including: Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Migros Museum, Zürich, Switzerland; Joan Miro Foundation, Barcelona, Spain; Philadelphia Museum of Art, USA; Ashkal Alwan Center for Contemporary Arts, Beirut, Lebanon; Artist Space, New York; and MoCA Miami, USA.
