Born and raised in the Netherlands, Annet van der Voort studied Visual Communications at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Germany. Graduation 1993. In that same year she won the German Photo Prize with a series of unusual portraits. The human face plays a big role in her work. She has had many solo and group exhibitions. Amongst others:  National Museum of Photography, Bradford/GB, Kunsthal Rotterdam/NL, Mois de la Photo, Montréal/CND, Museet for Fotokunst, Odense/DK, NGBK, Berlin/D, Zomer van der Fotografie/Antwerp/B, Photography Festival Hereford/GB and her work can be found in numerous public and private collections. She is currently working on a portrait-book about migration, combining photographs with texts.Annet van der Voort lives and works in Drensteinfurt, Germany and has been represented by Agency Regina Maria Anzenberger since 2004.
