European Night

EUROPEAN PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTITIES

European Night
Wednesday 9 July
10pm - 3am
Parc des Ateliers
Free access

Organized by Culturesfrance as part of the European Cultural Season, the European Night project sets out to provide an overview of the new photographic scene in the 27 EU countries. 27 experts – one in each country – have chosen three local photographers, making 81 in all.

During this open air event of unique character, the 81 photo-series will be presented on large screens in the Parc des Ateliers by night fall. This walk-around will be open and free to all publics.

The day after, an exhibition featuring all the projected images will begin in the main building at the Parc des Ateliers, and run all summer.

As part of France's presidency of the European Union, the European Cultural Season and the Rencontres d'Arles are joining forces on this project, with the backing of the Total company.
