For 9 years, Back to School with Images has continued to develop and extend its educational proposals. Each year, this free programme gives 300 classes, from kindergarten to the Masters level, the opportunity to spend a full day discovering images in all their forms, along with Arles’ cultural heritage (architecture, history, design, visual arts).

A dozen different activities give teachers the freedom to conceive their own multidisciplinary and interactive programmes, with backup support from professional liaison staff. Back to School with Images invites students to shape their own opinions about the images which surround them every day. It inspires their curiosity and encourages them to develop a critical viewpoint.

For its ninth edition, Back to School with Images recorded more than 300 registrations and welcomed more than 10,000 students. The new reservation system inaugurated in 2012 allowed this programme to welcome 40 new establishments (professional colleges, general colleges, high schools, primary schools).
