Indre Serpytyte graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in photography at the University of Brighton (2006) and an MA in photography at the Royal College of Art (2009) in London. Her work is represented in public and private collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum photography collection, the National Media Museum and the David Roberts Art Foundation. She is already the recipient of numerous awards including the Magenta Foundation Award, Canada (2010), the National Media Museum Bursary, England (2009) and Jerwood photography prize, amongst others. Her work has been published and exhibited widely, with recent shows at the Camera 16 gallery, Milan, and the Fotohof Gallery in Salzburg. Indre Serpytyte’s recent work explores history and loss, related to her own family history and that of her native Lithuania.
