She is an art historian, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Parkett, a book series devoted to contemporary artists and published three times a year in Zurich and New York since 1984. Since 1992, she has also been curator at the Kunsthaus of Zurich where she has organised exhibitions such as Birth of the Cool - American Painting from Georgia O’Keeffe to Christopher Wool, Hypermental - Rampant Reality, Sigmar Polke - Works & Days, and most recently The Expanded Eye – Stalking the Unseen. Since 2003 she has been the editorial director of Tate Etc., the magazine of the Tate Gallery in London.
